The 2016 Swiss IT Outsourcing Study, conducted by Whitelane Research in collaboration with Navisco AG – Sourcing Professionals, investigates more than 300 unique IT outsourcing contracts held by over 75 of the top IT spending organisations in Switzerland.
Key findings from the Swiss Study include:

  • There is still an appetite for outsourcing among Swiss companies. 76% of all respondents in the study confirm that they will continue to outsource at the same rate or more.
  • Since last year there has been a significant drop in the importance of cost reduction (-16%) as a factor for organisations planning to increase outsourcing. Business transformation (a factor which has gained importance in other European countries and in some instances overtaken cost reduction for the first time) also experienced a decrease from 2015 (43% to 25%).
  • The service provider community continued to show a strong overall performance, with clients remaining satisfied with 92% of contracts (a 1% increase from last year’s figure). However, inevitably, there were significant differences between the suppliers assessed.
  • TCS retained its position as the supplier with the highest level of satisfaction, followed by Swisscom and Cognizant.
  • 52% of all Swiss organisations are planning to increase their usage of public cloud services. Satisfaction with cloud vendors such as Amazon, Microsoft, is generally high.
